Electronic Commission - Fidelity Statements
Recent changes to the format of Fidelity statements caused them to fail to validate when attempting to import them into the Electronic Commission/Fees Inbox.
JCS will now be able to import and process the new Fidelity statement format.
IHT Calculations
The recent overhaul in IHT calculations in JCS introduced a bug whereby joint gifts (PETs and CLTs) were not being allocated correctly 50/50 between client and partner. This update resolves that bug.

Data Type Mismatch Error
In JCS version 27.002.12, a "Data Type Mismatch" error could occur whilst starting JCS. This error is caused by missing Statement Dates in the Commission Receipts Ledger. The error will no longer occur, allowing users to start JCS and correct the underlying problem.
Object Invalid or No Longer Set
In JCS version 27.002.12, an "Object invalid or no longer set" error could sometimes occur after using Utilities > Log On Again. This problem has now been fixed.

Current Income Page Position
In JCS version v27.001.xx, the Current Income page would open in the middle of the JCS window. This has now been fixed, so it will once again open at the top left of the JCS window.
Electronic Commission - Missing Postings
Under rare circumstances, statements with missing Payment Dates could cause the Total Value of the Statement to be different from the Total amount posted to JCS ledgers records. This has been known to affect some statements from Aviva.

IHT Joint Calculations
In some circumstances, the unused Residential Nil Rate Band was not being carried forward to the surviving spouse in a joint death scenario. This has now been resolved.
Improve Email Validation
The validation of emails on the Fact Find Address page was rejecting some valid email addresses e.g. addresses containing an apostrophe. The validation has now been relaxed to accept a wider range of characters.
Scheme Import Template - "Enter Parameter Value"
When opening the Scheme Import Template for a group scheme, which had no members, a message could appear saying "Enter Parameter Value - Scheme Case Number." Clicking "OK" would make this message disappear and the blank report would open, as normal.
This problem has now been fixed, so the erroneous message will no longer appear.

Documents Register Opening Slowly
Some users, with large datasets, have found that opening the Documents Register window for a client can be very slow. Some improvements have been made, which will speed up opening this window for all personal clients and for some business clients.
Error Creating Document for a Provider
An error, "JCS can't find the form 'Admin Gbl Providers' " could occur after opening the Documents Register from the Product Providers page, and then creating a new document addressed to a Provider Contact. This problem as now been fixed.

Type Mismatch Error Starting JCS
Some users have experienced a "Type Mismatch" error when attempting to log into JCS. The problem is caused after another user on the network upgrades to JCS version 27.001.08, which makes changes, which are incompatible with previous versions of JCS.
If you have experienced this problem, please call Tech Support who will be able to help.
JCS version 27.001.09 will no longer cause the error for users on earlier versions of JCS.

"Unknown Page" Message
By following certain steps it was possible for an "Unknown Page" message to repeatedly appear after clicking the Next/Previous Fact Find Page button in the Fact Find Menu Bar. This problem has been fixed.
When the Open Clients or Cases page is opened by typing Shift + F11, personal clients will be opened in Financial Planning mode. This functionality is not new but now the Open Clients or Cases page will indicate this behaviour by displaying "Personal Clients (FP)".
Action Letter Reminders Report
An error could occur after attempting to use this report when filtering to a single client. This problem has now been fixed.
Error Saving Diary Reminder
An "Invalid Use of Null" error could occur if attempting to save a Diary Reminder without a Reminder Who name. This problem has been fixed.
Group Schemes - Total Value/Regular Contributions
In some datasets, certain Group Schemes could show incorrect and unusually high Total Current Value and Total Regular Contribution figures. This issue, believed to only affect a few users, will be automatically fixed with this version of JCS.
Removed Network Member Option
The option to select the DBS or SESAME network has been removed. Client's and Partner's priorities no longer affect whether Income Tax is calculated or not.
RMAR Reporting - Detailed Reports
In previous releases of JCS, it was not always clear which fields in the RMAR reports could be clicked on to provide a detailed analysis of the values. This has now been updated to indicate that any field that is highlighted in yellow has detailed information that can be viewed by clicking on the field.
RMAR Reporting - Section B
In previous releases of JCS, the final column of Section B was always assumed to be based on the total income from regulated business, which we interpreted as being net commission, plus fees. Feedback from users indicated that Gabriel validation rules insist on the last column being gross commission plus fees (column A plus C). JCS has now been updated to reflect this validation rule.
RMAR Reporting Frequencies
The reporting frequencies of RMAR sections in JCS has been reviewed to match up with the requirements in the FCA Handbook. Section K is now only populated for annual return dates. If data for a half yearly return is being requested, Section K will not be populated. The same review affects Section B and I. See the help file for more details.

ECR Statement Export
When a statement section is exported to a JCS format CSV file, the filename will now be prefixed with the Statement Date.
Error Opening Equities Page
In the Financial Planning Equities page, if the policy had a missing Equity Type, a "type mismatch" error could occur when opening the page. This problem has been fixed.
Merging Cases
When merging cases (by right-clicking in Portfolio Summary) the case currently selected in Portfolio Summary will now be automatically selected in the Merge Case window.
Reverted Changes to MPAA Amount
In JCS version 27.000.07, the MPAA amount was changed from £10,000 to £4,000. This change has now been reverted to keep in line with current legislation.

Client Reports - Speed Improvements
With large datasets, and when using certain filter combinations, the Client Next Reviews report could be very slow to open. Changes have been made which make considerable improvements to the speed of this report.
Similarly, the Clients Report's speed has been improved and the drop down lists of Client Names and Client Numbers will now be far more responsive.
Electronic Commission - Scottish Widows
Electronic statements from Scottish Widows would have been imported into JCS, showing as multiple separate statements, when they should have been a single statement with multiple payments. This made processing the payments far more time consuming than it should have been.
JCS will now handle the Scottish Widows files differently, so multiple payments will be grouped into a single statement.
Fixed Issue With F3 Key in Notes Field
When pressing the F3 key in a notes field Advisers with names containing an apostrophe would have the apostrophe replaced with a hash. This has now been fixed.
JCS Slow Start-Up
There was a problem, only affecting some users, which could cause JCS to start up slowly. This has now been fixed.
Planning For Retirement Error
An "Invalid Use Of Null" error could occur in the What If? > Planning for Retirement calculator, after retrieving a stored illustration and clicking the Calculate button. This problem has been fixed.
Support for F3 Added to More Fields
F3 adding the date and advisers name has now been added to the following fields:
  • 'Main Provisions Of Will' fields in Estate Planning and Wills
  • 'Purpose of Plan and Notes' field in Financial Planning Pension Schemes

Administration - Investment Funds
Under certain circumstances, it was possible for the Fund Value in the Investment Funds page to be blanked out after using the "Value Clients Funds From These Prices" button in the Update Fund Prices & Value Funds page.
This problem has been fixed and any incorrect Fund Values will be corrected the next time the Update Fund Prices & Value Funds page is used.
Administration - Regular Fees
Notes from Regular Fee records could fail to appear on various reports. This has now been fixed.
Business Fact Find - Personnel
An "Index or primary key cannot contain a Null value" error could occur in the Business Personnel page, after making changes to records. This has now been fixed.
Client Portfolio Report - Missing Contributions
In the Client Portfolio Report, Personal/Employer Contributions details could be missing for other policies if the the client's portfolio contained a Drawdown or Section 32 pension. This problem has now been fixed.
Client Portfolio Report - Withdrawal History
In the Client Portfolio Report, certain policies would not show current regular Withdrawal / Yield details if the records had been entered in the Withdrawal History page. This problem has now been fixed.
Contract Enquiry - Cancelling the valuation
Some direct integrations, such as Transact, require the user to enter credentials on the fly. If the user is unaware of these credentials, they can click cancel to abort the request. This cancel request was not being honoured by JCS, and a request to the provider was still being made with blank credentials. This has now been resolved.
Contract Enquiry - Novia
Novia recently changed the file format of their valuation files to allow support for international character sets (primarily currency symbols). This resulted in JCS no longer being able to read these files. JCS has now been updated to handle multiple different unicode file formats which will increase future reliability with providers.

Fact Find - Client Names Missing
It was possible for Clients to appear as blank rows in the Open Clients or Cases page (and in various reports) if they did not have a Surname entered in the Personal Details page. Now the client Forename will be shown, even if the Surname is missing for some reason.
Fact Find - Current Income
In the Current Income page, it was not possible to manually enter values in certain fields if the client had a policy which could have Withdrawals, Interest or Yield in those categories. For example, if the client had an ISA, the "ISA/Account Withdrawals", "Yield and Dividends" and "Interest" fields would all be locked, preventing any figures from being manually input, whether the ISA had these types of records or not.
A figure may now be entered manually in any Income category, as long as no policy has current Withdrawal/Interest/Yields in that category.
JCS Reports - Client and Partner Email Addresses
All the Client and Partner email addresses from the Address Details page will now appear on the Clients' Report, when it is exported to Excel. These email addresses will now also appear in Data --> Client Export --> JCS Client Export.
JCS Reports - Speed of Client Reports
The Client Next Review and Clients reports had an issue that made them take much longer to run than would be expected. This has been fixed.
Price Data Feed - Interactive Data
There was a problem where some fund prices were not updating when using Interactive Data Finstat Data Feed files. This problem has been fixed.
Profile Report - Long Term Care
An issue could occur with the Long Term Care section of the Profile Report when calculating mortality ages. This has been fixed.
Search - Withdrawal Frequency
When using the Admin Database Search facility to search the Withdrawal Frequency field in the Withdrawal History table, it now possible to specify "Single", "Capital" and "Transfer" as the search criteria.

After entering a Leave Date for personnel in the Business Personnel page, a "You can't disable a control while it has focus" error could occur. This has been fixed.
Client Report - Excel Output
The Next Contractual Review Date is now shown in the Excel output from both the Client(s) Report and the Print Client Records after performing a Database Search.
Error Printing Labels
An error could occur when opting to print labels after performing a mailshot for a personal or business client. This has been fixed.
Fact Find Print - Missing Pages
If a print of a Fact Find report was produced from the Print Preview menubar, then certain pages could be missing in the actual print. This problem has been fixed.
Fact Find Print - Partner's Will
The Partner's Will details could be missing from a Fact Find print. This issue has been fixed.
Field Is Too Small
An error that "The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add" could occur when adding large amounts of text to certain fields. This has now been fixed in various places.
Fix to Lost Bookmarks
When creating Profile Reports, some Document Templates could cause some bookmarks to be lost. If it looks as if JCS Bookmarks have been lost from a Profile Report then a warning message will now appear. A tool has been added to the Profile Report Definition Maintenance page which can be used to fix any custom report definitions which exhibit this problem.
Group Pension Scheme Members Report
This report will now show both pounds and pence for the contribution amounts.
Income Drawdown Forecast - Capital Expires After
In the Income Drawdown Forecast - Illustrations on File page, a "Capital Expires After" figure could be shown, even if there was sufficient capital to meet the income requirements. This problem has now been fixed.
Power of Attorney Notes Category
When the Client/Case Notes page is opened from the Power of Attorney page, the Category filter will now default to "Power of Attorney".
Snapshot Linked to Wrong Client
When creating a snapshot from the Client Portfolio Report options page, if the selected Client Name was duplicated in the datatset, the snapshot could be linked to the wrong client. This issue has been fixed.
Transact Performance Enhancements
When performing a valuation for a single policy it will be faster. However, bulk downloads will still take the same amount of time.

Archived Policies in Data Import Window
In the Data Import window, to reduce the possibility of creating incorrect mappings, it is no longer possible to create new mappings to archived policies.
Error Opening Policy Pages
An "Object variable or with block variable not set" error could occur when opening certain policies, where the policy page open is cancelled. This error has been fixed.
Error Re-allocating Commission Receipt
Under certain circumstances, an "Invalid Use of Null" error could occur when sending electronic commission receipts back to suspense. This error has been fixed.
Fact Find Report - Family Protection
The Income Available section was missing from the Family Protection Needs Analysis page of the Fact Find report. This has now been added.
Fact Find Report - Layout Issues
Various problems with the layout of the Fact Find report, including possible missing Purpose of Plan and Notes details, missing policies and endless blank pages have been fixed.
In order to fix these problems it has been necessary to change the twin column layout of the policy pages to a single column layout. This allows the Purpose of Plan and Notes fields to expand as necessary, without truncating text or causing problems with the layout.
It is now also possible to select a different client for the Fact Find Report (or create a Blank report) without having to close and re-open the Fact Find Report options page.
For personal clients, it is now also possible to switch between Financial Planning and Administered portfolio records from within the report options page. Pages from the Needs Analysis section may be included in the Fact Find report, even if the Report Options are opened in Administration mode.
File Copy Reports - Withdrawal History
The File Copy reports (accessed via administered policy pages) for group member Life, Critical Illness and Pensions policies were missing Withdrawal History records. These have now been fixed.
Fix to Clients Report
There was a problem in the Clients report where clients without an address could have been shown as having the address of the preceding Client. This problem only occurred when exporting the report to Excel and has now been fixed.
Fixed Error Due to Blank Date of Birth
An error could occur when attempting to perform Planning for Retirement or Estate Planning calculations with a Client/Partner with no Date of Birth.
If a date of birth is required for the calculations, then a notification will now appear instead of the error.
Gilt Yield Lookup
There was a problem in the Maximum Drawdown Calculator page, where the Gilt Yield lookup button could highlight a different figure from the one displayed on the page. This problem has now been fixed.
Improved Figure Input
When a textbox containing a zero is clicked, the zero will now be selected. This should make it easier when entering new figures, as it will prevent the zero being appended to any new figure which is entered.
Locate Portfolio Record
An overflow error could occur in the Locate Portfolio Record window, when using the Full search type. This problem has been fixed.
Personal Pension - Transferred In Contribution
Drawdown pension types will now display the "Transferred In" contribution amount as a "Personal Contribution" in Portfolio Summary. All existing Drawdown pension schemes will automatically reflect this change.
Postcode Lookup Error
A "subscript out of range" error could occur if attempting to use the postcode lookup without entering a postcode. This error has now been fixed.
Transact RTV Issue
There was an issue where importing a Transact bulk file with more than about 32,000 lines would crash JCS. Previously, you were able to split the file up into smaller imports to get around this issue, but this is no longer necessary.

Client/Case Notes Not Saving
In the Client/Case Notes page, amendements to some Notes records could not save. This problem has been fixed.
Fixed Errors Printing Labels
Printing labels for the Diary reports would not work due to a bug in the latest version of JCS. Printing labels for a document in the Documents Register would only work the first time. After printing labels once it would never work again until restarting JCS. This has also been fixed.

Ability To Cancel Closing A Sticky Note
When closing a sticky note you would be given three options: 'Hide', 'Unstick' and 'Delete'. This has now been changed to 'Hide', 'Delete' and 'Cancel'.
Business Client Search
In the Find Clients or Cases page, when searching for business clients, if a number is entered in the search box then company names which start with this number will now be listed.
For example, entering "123" will now find the company "123 Solutions" as well as any business client with the Client Number = 123.
Documents Register Print Labels Problem
A bug has been fixed which caused the incorrect address label to be printed when printing a document from the Documents Register.
Financial Planning Pension Page - Purpose of Plan
Under certain circumstances the Purpose of Plan field would not appear to update when different pension policies were selected when in Financial Planning mode. This problem has been fixed.
Fix to Error Opening Policy Pages
A 'Syntax error in date in expression' error could occur when opening certain policy pages if they had an associated Fund History record with a blank History Date. This error has been fixed. Fund history records without a date will be excluded from Annualised Growth Estimate Calculations.
Investment Bond Owner
In Financial Planning Mode, an 'Invalid Use of Null' error could occur when setting an Investment Bond's Owner. This error has now been fixed.
NI Number Formatting
A problem which caused NI numbers to be incorrectly formatted in the Personnel page has now been fixed.
Open Clients or Cases
When typing F11 or F12, a new Personal or Business Client search is started so, if the Open Clients or Cases window is already open, the You've Recently Opened and Exclude Deceased Clients filters will be removed.
Personnel Import
There was a problem, which allowed Personnel to be imported, without specifying a Client Source. This problem has now been fixed.
Prudential Bonds Contract Enquiry
In some scenarios, the total fund value being supplied by the provider was showing as the surrender value, rather than the value of units of the contract. This would lead to a checksum error and prevent the policy from valuing. This was now been resolved to allow valuation of these policies.
Transact PIN Field
When performing a Transact Enquiry, the PIN you enter now appears obscured, rather than displaying in plain text.

Print Labels Error

Action To Do Reminders Report
An error could occur if attempting to print a report after deleting the Client Name filter. This problem has been fixed.
Additional Details Page
The labels for input fields in the Additional Details page have been made slightly wider, to allow for longer descriptions.
Client/Case Notes Page Fix
In some scenarios, when clearing the notes filter, JCS would freeze. This problem has been fixed.
Error Adding New Client
An error could sometimes occur when opening the Enter New Personal Client page and clicking the Cancel button. This has been fixed.
Fix to Other Branches/Subsidiaries Page
On the Business Fact Find page for Other Branches/Subsidiaries, it is no longer possible to save a record with a blank Branch Name, which could sometimes cause a "No Current Record" error.
Open Client or Cases
In the Open Clients or Cases window, the Business Clients and Policies search types will no-longer be greyed out if the maximum number of administration users are logged in. Instead, if you click on these options, the usual message will be displayed explaining why theses options are unavailable. They may become available again when other users have logged out.
Portfolio Report - Property and Other Assets
In the Portfolio Report, when grouping by Product Type, Property and Other Assets would have been shown under the heading "Investment Property". This has been changed, to show them under "Property and Other Assets".
Profile Report Error
An error could occur whilst creating a Profile Report, which included the Serious Illness/Disability section, if the option to include Statutory Sick Pay was ticked in the client's Serious Illness or Disability page. This problem has been fixed.
RMAR Report Section B
In the RMAR report Section B: Profit and Loss, the Net Commissions column would not factor in disbursements which were to the client, if the Client Rebate Type was "Offset Against Fees". This problem has now been fixed.

Business Fact Find Report
There was a problem where group member policies, which had been archived, could still appear in the business Fact Find reports. This issue has been fixed.
Commission Receipts Ledger Filters
Under certain circumstances, the Commission Receipts Ledger can contain Statement Dates, which have both a date and time specified. These records could be excluded when using the Statement Date filter. This issue has been fixed.
Error in Estate Planning and Wills Page
In the Estate Planning and Wills page, a "subscript out of range" error could occur if a Chargeable Lifetime Transfer for a future date was added. This error will no-longer occur, and the Tax on Gift and Gross Chargeable Transfer amounts will be calculated when the transfer date has passed.
Error when opening PEPs from Database Search
An error caused by running a Portfolio Report, which included PEPs, based on a database search has now been fixed. This was not effecting any other policy types.
Fixed locking issue when adding new clients
In specific circumstances, database locking errors were appearing when adding new personal or business clients. This problem has now been fixed.

Calculate Growth - Invalid Use of Null Error
#### MARCH 2017 #### An "invalid use of null error" could occur when attempting to calculate an annualised growth estimate for a policy which included Deductions for Non-Investment Benefits. This problem has now been fixed.
Client/Case Notes
When using the Client/Case Notes page, if you clicked Shift + Enter whilst still in the Notes field, you could lose your recent changes to the notes. This problem has now been fixed. Please note that it is unnecessary to use Shift + Enter in this page to force a save. Any changes you make will be automatically saved when the cursor leaves the Notes field, or the page is closed.
Client/Case Notes - Font Styles
In version 26.002 of JCS, the ability to set the font style and font size in the Client/Case Notes page was removed. This functionality has now been reinstated. Please contact Tech Support if you would like assistance setting your font preference.
Database Searches on Client Notes
With v26.002.04 of JCS, the Portfolio History Notes and Client Notes tables were merged. This could have caused problems with any stored database searches, which searched on these tables. These searches will now be automatically updated to work with the new Client/Case Notes format. Note - Old searches, which were for "Client Notes" will be converted to "Client/Case Notes" and will therefore also include those notes which are linked to policies. If you would like to exclude notes linked to policies you will have to link a criteria, using "And +" and restrict to Case Number = 0.
Fact Find Print
There was a problem when producing a Fact Find print in Financial Planning mode, where Health Care and Long Term Care policies could overlap. This issue has been fixed.
File Copy Print - Missing Portfolio History
There was a problem which could cause Portfolio History Notes to be missing from File Copy prints of policies. This problem has now been fixed.
Planning For Retirement - Income/Price Inflation
In JCS version 26.002, in the What If? > Planning for Retirement page, there was a problem where the Income Inflation and Price Inflation figures could be projected forward to State Retirement Date, instead of the selected retirement date. This could cause the Estimated Future Benefits figures to appear lower than they should have been. This problem has been fixed.
Portfolio Report Spacing
In v26.002 of JCS changes were made to the Portfolio Report which could result in details for individual policies not being kept together on one page. This could, for example, cause the Fund details of a policy to be separated from the policy details. The Portfolio Report has been reverted to how it used to work, and policy details will now be kept together on the same page, whenever possible.
Profile Report - Subscript Out Of Range
A "Subscript Out of Range" error could occur when creating a Profile Report, when including the Income Tax & NI section and when a Partner had a missing Date of Birth. This problem has been fixed.
Profile Report DocAddressAndPostCode Bookmark
When creating a Profile Report and using the DocAddressAndPostCode bookmark, this bookmark would not be set if the client had no option selected for "Client Address For Letters/Faxes" in their Address Details page. This has been fixed, to default to the Home address, if no option has been selected.

Fix To Upgrading What If Database
In v26.002.14, some users could experience an "Unable to upgrade What If database" error when starting JCS. Because of this failure to upgrade, a "Too few paramters" error could then occur when opening a client's Fact Find. These problems have now been fixed. Changes have also been made to improve the performance of Sticky Notes, which could work very slowly with large datasets.
Notes - Limit to Policy
In v26.002.14, in the Client/Case Notes page, the Limit to Policy dropdown list would exclude archived or general business policies. This problem has now been fixed.

When printing only specific pages of a client Portfolio Report, and certain other circumstances, the policy detail headers may be missing from the report. This problem has now been resolved.

There was a problem in the Commission/Fees Receipts Ledger report options, where the list of Group Schemes would not work. This problem has been fixed.
Contribution History Summary - Transfer Totals
There was a problem where, sometimes, not all Transfers would be included in the Summary section in the Contribution History page. This has now been fixed.
Error Adding Business Personnel
An error could occur if a letter was entered in the Client Number field of the Add Business Personnel page. This has now been fixed.
Error Adding New Products
Under certain specific circumstances, an error could occur when attempting to add a new Product name. This problem has been fixed.
Expenditure Page Not Updating Correctly
When a Pension Contribution was changed, the Expenditure page did not immediately update to reflect the changes when first opened. It would reflect the changes when opened a second time. This has now been fixed.
Fixed Bug on Expenditure page (JCS Freezes)
If Total allowable Tax Losses were entered which were in excess of Total Income and the Expenditure page subsequently opened, JCS would freeze. This has been fixed.
Income Tax Computation
In the Tax Computation, the line showing the Starting Rate for Savings was missing from the table showing the amount of the Tax Liability. The amount of Tax would always be zero, meaning the overal calculation was still correct, the Starting Rate tax slice at 0% should be shown for completeness. This has been fixed.
Income Tax Computations
When there were no income sources, in certain circumstances the Income Tax Computation would fail to render correctly. Also corrected the order and Sub Totals to be fully in line with Legislation.
Open Client Fact Find
When searching for clients, in some datasets, the Open Client Fact Find page could sometimes skip over clients with duplicate names. This problem has been fixed.
Planning for Retirement - Stakeholder Pensions
Stakeholder Pensions are now calculated exactly like Personal Pensions in Planning for Retirement. This means Stakeholder Pensions can start taking benefits from a date other than the SRA of the client.
Planning for Retirement Error
Under certain circumstances an "Overflow" error could occur when performing What If? > Planning for Retirement calculations. The error could also occur when producing a Profile Report which included the Planning for Retirement section. These problems have been fixed.
Portfolio Report - Contribution History Records
In the client Portfolio Report, Contribution History records were being ordered by descending Proposal Date. This has been changed to order them by Commencement Date, ascending or descending according to the report options.
Profile Report - Custom Style Templates
When using a custom style template for creation of Profile Reports to reflect corporate branding, JCS was ignoring the template for page numbering style, and always adding a default page number style. The style of the custom template is now honoured correctly.
Relevant Earnings now considered in Tax Comp
Previously the Tax Computation assumed that all pension contributions made were tax deductible. Now functionality has been added to check whether contributions are in excess of the higher of Relevant Earnings and £3,600. Where Contributions are in excess of those allowable the Tax Computation will produce a note to that effect.
Standard Documents Maintenance
When the Standard Documents Maintenance page is opened, the default view will no longer show templates which have been disabled.
Tax treatment of Pension Capital Contributions
When a Pension Contribution is entered as Capital, it is excluded from the Expenditure page as it is deemed to have been paid from Capital rather than Income. However it still attracts Tax relief just as a Single or Regular contribution would, and so should appear within the Income Tax Calculation. This has now been corrected to reflect this.

Client History Ordering
Previously, any fees created either manually or from the Task Timer would only record the date of the fee, not the time. This could lead to entries being shown out of the logical order in Client History. This has now been updated so that any new fees will also record the time of the record not just the date to correct the ordering of client history records. There is also a new option in Diary Reminders to set the Completion Date to the current Date and Time, so these will also order correctly in the Client History page as well.
Deleting Fund Names
When attempting to delete a global Fund Name, you will be prevented from doing so if the Fund Name is used by any cases. A message will now appear showing which cases these are. You can also be taken directly to a filtered list of all relevant policies to view or edit these cases.
Disbursement Statement Extras
An error could occur when attempting to open the Disbursement Statement Extras page. This problem has been fixed.
Electronic Commission
Fixed an issue where some providers were advertising Bond Renewal commission incorrectly, causing it to be sent to Suspended Commission or Bulk Renewal. Renewal commission on bonds will now be treated similar to Fund Based Renewal Commission.

Error Opening Documents
After setting the User Preference to use dotx and docx format documents, an error message could appear when opening certain JCS documents. The message would state that Word was unable to read the document because of corruption, even though it would still open successfully. The problem that caused this error message has now been fixed.
Locate Portfolio Records
Under certain circumstances, an overflow error could occur when opening policies via the Locate Portfolio Record page. A similar error could occur after performing database searches which returned large numbers of results and viewing the portfolio records. Both these errors have been fixed.
Maximum Drawdown Calculator
In the Maximum Drawdown Calculator, when double clicking on the date fields, an error message would appear instead of the calendar opening. This problem has been fixed.
Personnel Import
There was a problem where duplicate records could be created when importing data from a Group Scheme Template, if the user's dataset contained more than one client entry with the same National Insurance number. This issue has been fixed. The Business Personnel page now shows the Client Number and Client Type (Client or Partner) of the selected record. Scheme Members also now show the Owner of the policy (Client or Partner) and it is possible to change the Owner, as long as they exist in the Personnel for the business client.

Breakdown of Commission Received for PEPs

Pension Flexibility 2015
All unsecured/drawdown type pensions in JCS are now referred to as Drawdown pensions. A new Drawdown type of "Flexi-access" has also been added. All existing, current, drawdown pensions, which had a drawdown type of "Flexible" will automatically be changed to "Flexi-access".
Pensions as an Asset
The Assets page will now show Pensions and the total assets with and without pensions. By default pensions will not be counted as an asset for Profile reports but this may be changed using the new User Preference found under Utilities > User Preferences > Financial Planning > Show Pensions as an Asset in Profile Reports.
Planning for Retirement
The 'Age to retire' dropdown list in the Table and Graph views will now show ages 10 years above and below the State Retirement Age.
Real Time Valuations
When performing a real time valuation, the error "ProviderUnique cannot be a zero length string" was sometimes occurring, possibly when a policy has been surrendered or cancelled. This is now handled in a much better way for the user, and when performing an RTV All from a list of searched for policies, any archived policies will no longer be valued.
Total Allowances in Profile Reports

When manually entering commission or fees to a policy, a warning will now show if the case is archived.

RMAR Reporting
RMAR reports will now exclude any Fees that only appear in Time/WIP. Reporting will only be based on records posted to the Sales Ledger.
Task Timer Switches To New Client
If the Task Timer is running for a client and the User Preference 'Automatically update Timer on changing Client' is selected then when changing which client's Fact Find is open, the Timer will stop and move to the new client. This will now work no matter which method is used to change the Fact Find client. In addition, when a client's Fact Find is closed and the Timer is running, you will now be prompted to either stop, pause or continue the Task Timer.
Waiver of Premium
In policies where you can select a Waiver of Premium option, the tickbox has now been replaced by a dropdown menu. This allows you to set it to 'Yes', 'No' or to leave it blank. When adding new policies a blank (unknown) Waiver of Premium status is assumed until 'Yes' or 'No' is selected. Pensions which have a blank Waiver of Premium selected will no longer state 'no waiver of premium' on client report details.

Client Accounts - Charge Rates
In JCS versions after 23.100, when creating a new charge rate from the Client Accounts page, an error may occur stating "You must save the current field before you run the Requery action". This has now been resolved.
Default Product Provider
In JCS versions after 23.100, when creating a new document linked to a case and writing to a Product Provider, when looking up the Product Provider Contact, the lookup page would not default to the case's Provider. This functionality has now been restored.
Documents Register Preventing Access to Pages
It used to be possible to open the Documents Register (when pressing Ctrl+D) and still access other pages which were open. This functionality was lost after version 23.100 but has been re-instated. In addition, you may also now access the other pages when the Documents Register is opened from clicking the button on Portfolio Summary and the policy pages.
Error adding new Provider or Share Details
Under certain circumstances a 'JCS can't move the focus to the control Status' error would occur whilst adding new Provider, Product or Share Details for a new case. This problem has now been fixed.
Error Changing Fund Type
In Fund Names/Shares Maintenance page, a 'Syntax error (missing operator)' error could occur if attempting to change the Type of a fund which had a quotation mark in its name.
Incorrect Branch In Documents Register
Under certain specific circumstances, it was possible to save records in the Documents Register with the wrong branch number for the selected client. This problem and historical records have now been fixed.
Pages No Longer Shut Down
When opening a new Client's Fact Find, admin pages would immediately shut down, even if no client was selected. This has now changed so the pages only shut down if a new client is selected. In addition, if opening a new client in Administration mode, the Documents Register may be left open. It will not automatically switch to the new client but may be manually closed and reopened for the new client if required.

Holding shift and pressing enter now saves data on the portfolio history notes page.
Update Fund Prices & Value Funds
Opening the Update Fund Prices & Value Funds page no longer requires the current client's Fact Find to be closed. If any client policy or Investment Fund pages are open then these will refresh after fund prices are updated.

Current Value Field
If a policy has fund records then its Current Value will now be locked to show that this value is derived from its funds. ISAs and Investment Bonds will also have their Cash / Non Cash fund fields locked as appropriate.
Disbursement Page Correction
Under certain circumstances, the Disbursements page could show a positive commission amount when set up against fee credits. (The commission amount for a fee credit should be negative). The disbursements would still have been issued correctly when a Pay Advisers report was run but now the Disbursement page will also show the correct negative commission figure.

Annuities now support non-Switch type Adviser Charges. Percentage-based charges for Ongoing and Ad-Hoc Adviser Charges are still prohibited for annuities.

Adviser Charges are now displayed with received amounts, and subtotals for expected and received amounts. Expected amounts are estimated when appropriate, and amounts not assigned to a specific adviser charge are shown.

If a Charge Category is created which has a blank (unknown) Hourly Rate, Fixed Charge, Expense Amount or Notes, then when it is selected in the Client Account or Regular Fees pages any Amount or Notes which have already been entered will no longer be overwritten.

Previous exemptions for firms with below £60,000 no longer exist but remained as an option in JCS code. These have now been removed as being no long relevant.
Starting JCS from the Installer
After updating JCS, or installing it fresh, the installer will prompt to start JCS. If your installation is configured to use data on the network and you are using Vista or a newer operating system, starting JCS may fail as the installer runs under elevated privileges as Admin. The installer will now de-elevate privileges and run JCS under the user's own profile.

Suspended Adviser Charges
When using the Suspended Commission/Fees Receipts page to allocate suspended fees to a policy which has Adviser Charge Schedules, the schedule record which matches the Type / Amount best will be automatically selected.
When To Disburse Fees
There was a restriction, which made it impossible to change the 'When to Disburse Fee' option after a fee or associated Adviser Charge Schedule record had received a disbursement payment. This restriction has now been removed and if the option is changed, disbursement payments will be recalculated the next time the Pay Advisers, Introducers and Rebate Client report is run.

Contract Enquiry Changes
Canada Life external connections can no longer be shared with other users due to issues with mismatched certificates when multiple users attempt to use the same connection. When creating new global fund records from a valuation message, some long fund names may cause an error. This has now been resolved by shortening them to fit in the relevant field. Original fund names are stored in a new field on the Global Data->Fund Names page.

Exact matching of expectations for initial and renewal commission in ECR may sometimes fail due to differences in the rounding of final amounts. Some providers may round to the nearest penny, others may round down to a complete penny. ECR matching now allows for both scenarios.

Switch Commission was being identified as Fund Based Renewal in Skandia commission files. JCS does not currently support expectations for switch commission, so these will be assigned to Suspended Commission Receipts.

The JCS installer comes packaged with a post install program to update all users in a terminal services environment (Remote Desktop Services). When performing a real time valuation of a Transact policy, all Transact policies were attempting to be valued rather than just the selected one. This issue was introduced in version 22.002.07 of JCS. All users with RTV connections to Transact are advised to upgrade to this release.

Commission Breakdown Report
This report was incorrectly including non-policy related commission (such as bulk renewal) even if the report was restricted to certain policy types. This has now been resolved.
Database Maintenance Fix
Some users have experienced problems compacting and repairing their Admin database after the database had become corrupted. Improvements have been made to Database Maintenance which will overcome some of these problems.
Deleting Policies
Under certain circumstances it was possible for users without Add/Change/Delete Records permission to delete policies. This is no longer possible.
Earning Period For Level Commission
In the Commission page, when entering an automatically calculated Level commission with a Frequency of Annum, the automatically inserted Earning Period would be incorrect. This has been fixed so the Earning Period for an Annum frequency will tally with the period calculated for Month, Quarter or Half Year.
Fix To Mailshots To Clients
When sending out a mailshot to selected clients, the following error may have occurred: 'The changes you requested to the table were not successful because they would create duplicate values in the index, primary key, or relationship'. This has now been resolved.

Under certain circumstances, an error would occur in RMAR reporting 'Overflow'. This has now been resolved.
Level Commission Accrued To Date Calculation
There was a problem with Commission Accrued to Date calculations for Level commission: If an Earning Period was manually entered, which was shorter than the term of the policy, the Accrued to Date calculation would not be restricted by this earning period. This issue has now been rectified.
This fix will affect all areas where Accrued to Date figures are calculated for Level commission which have an Earning Period which is shorter than the term of the policy. When upgrading JCS to version 22.002 a text document will be generated which details all commission records which may be affected by this change.
Level Commission Rate Issue
After updating the total commission value, when calculating Level Commission, the rate was not auto calculated from the amount and earning period. This has now been resolved.
Level Commission Rounding Issue
Accrued Level Commission calculations were not rounding monthly amounts to the nearest penny when calculating from a Level Rate. This may have led to a discrepancy of a few pence over long periods between total commission amount and accrued commission amount. This has now been resolved.
Locate Portfolio Record
When locating a portfolio record in 'Full' mode, the list of policies was not being shown when the list was filtered by 'Client Name'. This was introduced in the previous version of JCS, and has now been resolved.
Menu Options Now Display Correctly
When opening a client from the Business Personnel page, the menu now shows the correct options.
Modified Client List Report
Client and partner mobile numbers are now shown when printing a list of clients after searching the database.
PRESTEL Equity Price Feed
The equity price feed from PRESTEL was not updating the prices in JCS. This issue was introduced in a recent version of JCS and has now been resolved.
Total Commission Value
After changing values for calculated commission, the total commission value was not being reflected in the listbox until the Commission page was closed and opened again. This has now been resolved.
User Defined Fields

Fixed issue in Temporary Annuities

Added support for group scheme commission payments from L&G where company name and contract reference details are missing in the commission file. Previously, this was generating an error.

Fixed Issue in Contract Enquiry
Under very specific circumstances it was possible to use the wrong external connection when valuing a policy. This only occurred when a user had access to their own connection for that provider as well as a shared connection. This has now been updated to set a higher precedence on the user's own connection, over another user's shared connection.

When attempting to map a new client after performing a bulk valuation, an error could occur if a case was selected before the client was selected. This has now been resolved.

(The commission would have been added to the Commission Record's 'Received To Date', so would not have been lost). Now the negative commission will also appear in the Commission Receipts Ledger.
Fixed Problem Selecting Duplicate Policy Numbers
In the Suspended Commission Receipts page, if there were duplicate policy numbers in the Policy Number drop down list, it was sometimes impossible to select the correct policy to assign the suspended commission to. Now, using the new 'Look Up Policy' button, it does not matter if the Policy Number of the selected policy (case) is duplicated.
Fixed Problem with Policy Numbers
In the Suspended Commission Receipts page it was sometimes impossible to select the correct policy to assign the suspended commission to if the Policy Number started with a space. This is no longer a problem using the 'Look Up Policy' button.
Fixed Retirement Date Calculation
When calculating a retirement date for a person born on 29th February but retiring in a NON-leap year JCS would give a retirement date of 28th February. This has now been changed to 1st March.
Please note, for a person born on 29th February and retiring in a leap year, JCS will give a retirement date of 29th February. This may differ from some on-line retirement age calculators, which give 1st March, even on leap years. We have contected the Department for Work and Pensions and they have confirmed that the 29th February would be the correct retirement date in these circumstances.
Improved Recognition of Fidelity Bulk Files
To import Fidelity Fund Network bulk valuation files, it was necessary to manipulate the file using Excel prior to importing into JCS. This is no longer required as JCS will now handle the raw file provided from the Fidelity website.
Improvement to Suspended Commission Filter
In the Suspended Commission Receipts page, after applying a filter, the previously selected record will be re-selected (if it still appears in the list).
Incorrect/Overdue Commission Receipts Enhancement
Negative values in this report now appear red.
Stopped Suspended Commission Page Disappearing
Under certain circumstances, the Suspended Commission Receipts page would disappear and not reappear after attempting to assign commission to the selected policy. This issue has been resolved.
Suspended Commission Receipts - Suggested Policies
When a record is selected in Suspended Commission Receipts, JCS automatically attempts to find a policy which looks like a likely match for the suspended record. If a match cannot be found, or if you do not wish to use the suggested policy, the 'Look Up New Policy' button can be used to manually choose any policy to assign the commission to.
Suspended Commission Receipts Locked
To reduce possible errors in accounting, it is no longer possible to alter records in the Suspended Commission Receipts page (except the 'Exported to Quicken' status). The Policy Number saved when the Suspended Commission record is created and the Policy to which the Suspended Commission is eventually posted to are now treated as separate entities.
Suspended Commission Receipts Page Now Resizable
This page can now be resized to allow viewing of more suspended items simultaneously.
Suspended Commission, Improved Policy Look Up
When using the 'Look Up Policy' button in Suspended Commission Receipts, the Locate Portfolio Record page will open, with the records automatically filtered to the Provider Name of the currently selected Suspended Commission record. The filter may be removed in the usual way if you wish to search all policies.

An issue was identified in version 21.200.xx where the accrued amount of commission was not picking up a manual entry into the 'Total Initial Commission' field. This issue was limited to indemnified initial commission. This has now been resolved.

Commission records for PHI member records and Healthcare member records were not taking into account the policy 'Left Date' when calculating commission accrued and the left date fell within the initial or renewal earning period. If the contribution was marked as ceased also, this issue would not have presented to the user. This issue did not affect the incorrect/overdue commission report.

Policies with a single contribution that vest immediately, such as annuities, were not showing any accrued commission in the calculations. This has now been resolved to ensure that single contributions will always accrue commission, irrespective of the vesting date of the policy.

Disbursements can no longer be deleted
In the Disbursements Page, once a payment has been received for a Disbursement (i.e. a Commission Disbursements Ledger record has been created against it) you can no longer delete the disbursement or change the Adviser/Introducer it is payable against.

Previously, it was possible to click on the disbursements button for all commission types. This button is only meant for block renewal, and records entered from here that are not block renewal would not have been disbursed anyway. The disbursements button has now been disabled for all records that are not block renewal.
Fixed issue in Commission Records page
If a contribution amount for a policy is ceased during the initial earning period, and the commission is indemnified, the accrued amount was still showing the full initial amount, rather than the amount earned up to the date the contribution was ceased. This has now been resolved.
Fixed issue printing a fact find report
When attempting to print a Fact Find Report for a client with no entries in the Income Page, a 'No Current Record' error could occur. This problem has been fixed.
Fixed issue when opening JCS
Some users have experienced an error: 'Subscript out of range' when attempting to start JCS. The problem was caused by the user's firewall preventing access to the JCS server. This problem has been fixed to allow JCS to open, regardless of the firewall settings.

The Backup facility within Database Maintenance was not including the Lifestyle data. This has been rectified.
Fixed issue with Repair and Compact
If a repair and Compact was performed on the main program file the Origo messaging functionality would fail giving the message "Origo message version not supported by JCS". This has been fixed.

In certain circumstances a Resync of a Download user system would result in an error and prevent the Resync proceeding. This only occurred where specific items within Profile Reporting had been used. This problem has been fixed.

Under certain circumstances, Withdrawal History items set as Type 'Withdrawal' could appear as being 'Distributed' in portfolio reports which included Withdrawal History records. This problem has been fixed.
Updates to manual commission calculations
When entering the commission details for a contribution, if the total amount was entered manually because the rates were unknown, then the accrued amount may not have appeared correct in the future. This has been resolved now to ensure that rates are updated to reflect the total amount.

Fixed Pension Scheme Fact Find reports
When printing a personal Fact Find Report, which included a Pension Scheme with a long Provider Name, if the client had multiple pension schemes, some of the pension details could be omitted from the report. Also, if a pension scheme had long Purpose of Plan notes, these notes could be truncated in the report. Both these problems have now been rectified.

When a Health Insurance Benefit in Kind was entered directly onto the Benefit in Kind Screen it would incorrectly show on the Tax Computation as a negative figure. This does not affect cases where the Health Insurance was entered directly into the Portfolio. In addition, Tax Allowable Forestry Losses were not being shown correctly in Tax Computations.

It was possible to delete a Personnel record whilst that employee was still connected to a Group Scheme Portfolio record. Modifications have been made to prevent deletion from Personnel records of employees who still have records in group schemes. Previously deleted Personnel have been re-instated where they are still members (or ex members) of a group scheme policy.

Under some very specific circumstances, values that are entered into the Pension Contributions page in Fact Find Expenses may not be saved correctly. This has now been resolved.

When performing an RTV on a policy that uses the Origo messaging standard, some warnings may be displayed at the request of the provider, these warnings were making JCS state that not all cases/clients have been mapped, even if they were. This has now been resolved.

Fixed issue in WebFolio Upload To Web
When uploading a client's details to the WebFolio service, some details may be missing online if the client has medium level details entered in Assets->Interest Bearing Accounts and Other Cash. This has now been resolved.
Fixed issue with entering PP contributions
Basic Rate Tax relief on Personal Pension type contracts is obtained by the provider reclaiming tax on each contribution which is paid Net by the individual. In spite of this virtually all contracts are actually Gross Contribution contracts (ie the net premium will change if the tax rate changes). Personal Pension contributions should be entered Gross on the individual case and JCS will now show the Net cost on the expenses page for these types of contract.
Fixed problem re-printing statements
If a client's account was created without an opening balance it may not have been posssible to re-print all of their statements. This problem has now been fixed.
Fixed problem shutting down JCS.
Under certain circumstances, if closing JCS whilst the Initial Details page was still open, a "MSACCESS has encountered a problem and needs to close" message would appear. This problem has now been fixed.
Fixed problem with "Make Statement Run Permanent".
Some reports in JCS, for example, the "Pay Advisers, Introducers and Rebate Clients" report, after closing, ask if the user would like to "Make Statement Run Permanent?". If JCS was closed whilst these types of reports were left open, the message would appear but the Yes or No options would be unresponsive, forcing the user to use the Task Manager to complete shutting down of JCS. This problem has been fixed.
Generic Errors in JCS
In certain circumstances, JCS may report a error stating "Resume Without Error". All instances so far submitted have now been resolved.
Improved usability of Other Advisers page
It is now easier to re-use previously saved details for Other Advisers. With the drop down Contact Name box, you can opt to automatically complete the rest of the page with the same details that were last entered for that contact.
Modified Pension Contribution Descriptions
Personal Contributions to Personal Pension plans need to be entered "Net". This has been clarified in the description of the Contribution to prevent confusion with Essential where Contributions are input "Gross".

Fixed problem occuring with disabled Word Add-In
Some users, when attempting to open Word documents, have received an error "This file could not be found…". This error is due to the JCS Word Add-In being disabled by Windows. Due to enhancements in how JCS integrates with Word, the error should no longer occur and users will be shown how to re-enable the JCS Word Add-In to restore full integration of Word with JCS.
Fixed problem opening Long Term Care Provision
The Fact Find page, Long Term Care Provision, would report an "Invalid use of null" error if either the current client or their partner did not have their date of birth set in Personal Details. This problem has been fixed.

When closing the Documents Register, JCS checks to see if changes to any linked documents have not been saved. If so, a message warning will appear and the user may choose whether to save the documents or to cancel.
Fixed display issue on Initial Details page
Fixed issue with displaying the client code description on Initial Details Fact Find page. The client code description was overlapping the "Upload to Web" field.
Fixed duplicate records in Market Area Analysis
The Market Area Analysis report was showing cash funds in a policy twice, once for the policy, and once for the cash fund itself. This has now been resolved to only reference cash holdings once in the report.
Fixed issue in Contract Enquiry
During a contract enquiry valuation, fund bid prices may be updated, and if the bid offer spread has been set, the offer price will be calculated. When the bid offer spread has been inadvertently set to 100%, this would cause an error during a contract enquiry valuation. This has now been resolved.

Fixed issue in Income Tax Computation
The Income tax computation was using 'Total Income' rather than 'Adjusted Net Income' to calculate personal allowances. This affected computations where the Total Income was in the 60% marginal rate band (£100,000 - £112,950) but the 'Adjusted Net Income' was lower due to pension contributions or other deductions.

When a user is set to view only clients of an adviser, the list of diary reminders was not being restricted to the currently selected client. This has now been rectified.
Fixed issue in Profile Report Income Tax section
The profile report when calculating Interest and Dividends in the Income Tax and NI Contributions, was not taking into account manually entered values from Fact Find - Current Income for the partner, if the client had any administered records generating interest. This has been updated to reflect all values that are visible in the Fact Find - Current Income page for client, partner and joint values, whether they are administered or manual entries.
Fixed issue on Case Screens
When the Provider Name was updated on Case Screens, a warning message appeared asking if the user wished to update related records. If 'Yes' was selected the Provider name was updated for all fund holdings within that case. Whilst this is appropriate for some product types, it is not suitable for all. The message has been updated to make the situation clearer so the user better understands what will be updated.

When printing a Blank Business Fact Find Questionnaire, some fields were pre-filled with erroneous data. This has now been fixed.

Improved the functionality of RTV all
The RTV all function (which is accessed from the Portfolio Summary page) will now attempt a valuation using the most appropriate External Connection even when there is more than one suitable connection. Previously in this circumstance no attempt to obtain a valuation was made.

Bug in Selestia RTV for unmapped cases
If an RTV was attempted using Selestia on a case which had not previously been mapped, the RTV would always fail. When trying to value a single previously unmapped case JCS uses the Policy Number it has on record to attempt RTV, in the case of Selestia this Policy Number was not being properly identified and so no match would ever be found. Normal Selestia Bulk and RTV messages were unaffected.
Disbursements Report displays wrong date

New code has been added to provide sensible splitting of such names when they are provided in this format. The only implemented providers currently doing this are Royal Skandia and Merchant Investors

When an Asset is placed in the 'Property and Other Assets' page it is automatically reflected in the Fact Find Assets section. However, when the final asset of a particular type was deleted from the 'Property and Other Assets' page the Fact Find Assets Page was not being updated - leaving the asset in as a simple amount.

This bug was introduced in Version 18.104 which prevented RMAR reports from being printed.
Improvement to Business Production Reports
Summary business production reports were not showing deleted policies clearly. Deleted policies which have commission details against them are now clearly identified on the reports.

Fixed Mapping Bug in Data Import window.
Version 18.104 9 December 2008 introduced a bug to the Data import Window which prevented new funds being mapped. The error "Unable to find Fund Mapping" would show even if a fund had just been mapped.

Fixed Bug in Final Salary Maximum Benefits
In What If, and Profile Reporting, if a Defined Benefit pension was set up with the same Accrual Rate for Standard Pension and for Reduced Pension, the Maximum Reduced Pension would be restricted to 75% of the Pre-Commutation Pension. This was due to the fact that an infinite value for the Pension Commutation Factor is implied by these settings. The code has been revised to remove the check for Maximum Reduced Pension in all circumstances.

Improved functionality of RTV All

The production of JCS reports requires a printer to be installed on the PC. A message is now displayed when the reporting suite is opened if no printers are installed.

Fix problem in Maintenance Program
On 10 April 2008 Microsoft released a Cumulative Update for Internet Explorer 7 (KB947864) which broke the Automated download facility in the JCS Database Maintenance Program. As a result users who have applied this Microsoft update must download version 18.000 16 April 2008 (or later) of JCS using the Non-Auto Update facility which includes a revised version of the Database Maintenance program re-enabling automatic download for future releases.
